This trail was built on land that used to be occupied by an abandoned Girl Scout Camp. It has also been home to transients and squatters, until we started building trails in the area. There are remnants of both pasts that you will see as you move through the trails.
This will be one of the funnest trails you will ride anywhere, I promise. It is safe and predictable for the most part, but your first time through, be careful... There are some off camber decents and turns that will take you by suprise if you are not ready, and they could end in a wreck if you are not paying attention.
The loop is somewhere between 3.5 and 4.5 miles, the actual mileage is under dispute at this time.
This is the first year this trail is in operation (2008) and it has had a good response so far. Please ride, run, and enjoy it - many folks have put in countless hours on this one, and I would say it has had the best community participation of any of the trails that have been built in town so far. It is loved by many - already!
